About Us
B&M Livestock is a family-owned and operated farm producing high-quality Seedstock and premium beef products. It was started in 2018 by Ben and Megan Julian with the help of their kids, Hailey and Andrew raising bottle-fed calves.
After raising the calves like our own babies, we knew this could become our future. After extensive research, we decided to stay strictly with registered Red Angus Cattle. Red Angus cattle are known to be gentle-natured and easy cattle to work. In addition, this breed allows B&M to use its registered pedigrees to enhance our heard health and further maximize the quality of our product. Red Angus is known to produce high-quality meat due to the intra-muscular marbling.
In 2021 we accepted the offer from Barry and Gaye Julian to expand our operation. In doing this, they joined the family operation as investors and land owners.
Fast forward to fall 2022, B&M has over 275 head of cattle we manage and care for.
B&M Livestocks' devotion to sustainable and humane practices leads to the Midwest's highest quality Seedstock and beef production. Our Red Angus Cattle are grass-fed, grain-finished, given ample room to roam, consistently rotated on pastures, and never subject to steroids or added hormones.
Ranching isn't easy, it is a seven-day-a-week job, but we love it! Our main goal is to keep the cattle healthy, produce quality Seedstock for other producers, and provide high-quality local beef products for consumers.
B&M operates on 329 acres across Madison County, IL. Our headquarters and primary distribution center are located in Bethalto, Illinois, where our family resides.

It all starts with a strong pedigree. B&M focuses on quality Red Angus Cattle and is never subject to steroids and hormones.

Before processing, our steers are placed on a three-part finishing process of quality Purina feed and corn once they reach a specific size. This process is a custom blended feed that changes some as they grow and reach their finishing weights. This process creates a nice layer of flavorful, buttery fat on the beef. As steers reach the optimal finishing weight, they are weighed weekly to ensure they reach their full potential but are not excessively fatty. We want to sell quality, not over-fed beef, where you pay for excessive fat. We believe that with grain-finished beef, the fat should complement the meat.
